The National Archives Experience in Washington, DC, is seeking an
Education Technology Specialist. The ideal candidate will be an
excellent communicator with a degree in history, public history, museum
education, or education technology; possess skill in developing creative
technology-based instructional materials, tools, or programs for
educators or students; and have successful experience as a classroom
teacher, or as an instructor in an informal learning environment. The
Education Technology Specialist will be a member of the National
Archives Education Team, whose members are professional educators and
historians, who love studying and sharing the past, and enjoy developing
innovative ways to use primary source documents as teaching tools. The
teams' tasks range from presenting workshops for educators, to
conducting student learning labs; from researching historical content,
to writing articles for publication; from developing learning activities
for the general public, to conducting videoconferences, and more.
