Yes, they saved the labels to put into bad vinyl regound mixes.  I've a copy
of the Kas Sutra NRBQ set with part of an an unrelated  label protruding
from just before the dead wax.

OMG that's hilarious Frank (new record preservation technique: melt down
your LPs and store them in a jelly jar)!  I love the part about using a
strainer to capture the record labels.  Very clever - thanks for pointing
