Hello All,
I probably should have joined this list 20 years ago but I don't spend much
time online. My loss. Looks like a good group. I run an independent shop
but for the last couple of years have been integrated into the Internet
Archive (archive.org), serving as the magnetics digitizer.
I'm retiring from the tape restoration business and have a bunch of
standard and customized transfer machines. Almost one of every tape machine
format in there! Audio and Video. Lots of ephemera and parts, too!
I'm out in the SF Bay Area. I realize auctions typically demand that one
actually makes it to the site to retrieve but for verifiable buyers (I/E:
no risk of fraud in the transaction) I'm happy to crate some of this up for
you.
Don't hesitate to hit me up with questions. All of this equipment is in
good working order unless noted. I pride myself on my maintenance regimen
and frankly, that's why it's time to retire. As a one man shop I spend so
much of my free time repairing decks now. I see limitations in my part
supplies and techs. Time to move these on before they slip.
Thanks for reading and keep up the good work.
Tardon
