This was originally issued as part of "African Music - Rhythm in the
Jungle," Victor P-10 in 1939, from recordings made in the 1930s by Laura
Bolton & the Straus West African Expedition of Chicago's Field Museum of
Natural History. Later reissued on Folkways FW 8852, with I assume the same
information in the booklet. No dates mentioned though :
