Tom:
Hard to find people anymore who are really familiar with these machines.
They are sort of a beast unto themselves, but excellent machines when
properly aligned. I have one at home that I use regularly, but have
always done my own service work on it, so don't really have any other
suggestions for techs.
There used to be a guy in NY who was on eBay under the username
"blacklukelab", but is no longer registered. You might want to give John
French at JRF a call, or maybe try posting on The Tape Project machine
forum. (See: http://tapeproject.com/smf/index.php?board=9.0).
Make sure you pack it well for shipping if you send it out of town,
paying special attention to the front transport components.
