Indeed.

Why don't you play the same tape in both directions, reverse direction 
and channels of the reverse playback, and listen?  How much difference 
do you hear?  Do you like one better than the other?  Post a sample, so 
we can hear the difference (or send me the files, and I'll put them on 
my server).
