Hello All,
I'm searching for some archival tape that has proven to be extremely
elusive! So far, no one can find it.
It's an episode of Barbara Walter's Today show on NBC from (I think) July
29th, 1975.
She's interviewing the author Forrest Carter, who wrote a book called Gone
To Texas, which was made into the movie western The Outlaw Josey Wales with
Clint Eastwood. A reconstruction of the scene appears in a new doc called
The Reconstruction of Asa Carter - but it's not the real tape. The NBC
archives seem to have lost or destroyed it.
Does anyone know whereabouts of this tape? It's a long shot, but worth a
try!
A sincere thanks,
Rachel James
