If you notice, the obit says that Jack died several weeks ago --"Mr.
Towers died on Dec. 28 in Rockville, Md., at 96. The cause was
complications of Parkinson's disease, said his daughter, Jean L. Kemp."
It is likely that Phil played the interview at that time in honor of his
passing, so is not likely to do so again at this time.
Additionally, there seems to be some misunderstanding as to the REAL
date of Jack's passing. Over on the 78-L we got notice from Doug
Pomeroy via Geoff Wheeler on Dec 23 that he had died that morning.
Following some discussion over the next few days, five days later on Dec
28 Steve Shapiro posted the URLs of the Washington Post's obit with a
note "I'm glad the Washington Post finally did this". So the date is
actually Dec 23, making it more likely that Phil's playing of the
interview was already a memorial.
