I wonder what kind of synergy is at play here. My (dear) wife started out
with Rocketmail as her initial free email account back in the dream time
(days before time as we know it existed - think back to when you dialed
up). Rocketmail belly-upped and was folded into Yahoo and she has been
bitching about Yahoo's continuous need to fix what was not particularly
broken. Like most reasonable people, she is happiest when she has learned
the ropes and doesn't have to keep learning new stuff all of the time.
Still, all my pitches of how great Gmail is and how easy it is to use do
not trump the inescapable fact that changing a long-held email account it
not exactly painless. I will read the previous informative looking posts
thoroughly and see if I can use them to arm myself for a push to get her to
at least forward Rocketmail/Yahoo to Gmail.
Off topic, but very personally relevant.
