George Merrill, one of the best turntable designers in the world, is also a Jelco dealer:

His prices may be a little higher than some others, but he will be there to support you if you have a problem or questions. I'd avoid those eBay dealers in far-away places.

Two other sources for Jelco convenient to North America are:
http://www.cryo-parts.com/turn-tables/tone-arm/
I don't know about the whole cryogenic thing, but the fellow has good prices. A friend of mine just bought a 12" from him and the black version looks cool! A Canadian supplier also serves US customers here:
http://audiosensibility.com/Store/us_store.htm
Note that accessories like the heavier counter weight are priced separately at this store. I recommend the headshell that allows azimuth adjustment.
I like the sound from my 10" 750 a lot. Happens that my friend and I are just finishing work on two bamboo plinths for Technics SP-10 TTs and our Jelcos. Difficult material to work, but they promise good results. Inspired by Dave Cawley and the many other people who have taken on these marvelous near-antiques. BTW, I use a bit of damping fluid with my Dynavector cartridge, though sometimes back out the well cap to lessen the damping on some LPs. It's worth experiment. My opinion might change when the firmer plinth is in use.

I missed this item. Can you show a photo of the machine from the front or side to see how the new top plate fits? I assume it can be cut oy=ut to accommodate an SME 3012 16" arm.
Many thanks.
