Actually, a lot of thought went into the design. Granted it's not the
best I've seen ( that would be the one Mobile Fidelity used) but it did
achieve the main goal: hold the cd by the center hole, suspended so that
nothing touches the surfaces and be easy to remove when you press
lightly on the center. Again, I do not think it's the best they could
come up with but at the time it was very elegant. As for space,
considering that a case can hold two cd's that's 160 minutes of music. 4
Lp's would take up much more room.
