Hugh:The ARSC Journal has a discography style sheet which was developed some years ago. You might request a copy 
from the editor,Chris King ([log in to unmask]).
There was much discussion of this issue in the Journal at the time, and articles about it (including one by me) shouldbe accessible via the AMP! database on the ARSC site.

Greetings,

are there any well established stylesheets for discographies? I mean in
academic publishing we have MLA, APA, Harvard, IEEE, Chicago, etc. So I am
un familiar with the stylesheets used in discographies.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
