The Zoom device does just fine and is inexpensive relative to some others. Built-in ability to do
4-channel surround recording, too.
What's not appropriate for music/singing are the dictation-oriented devices (I've seen these made by
Sony, Olympus and others).
Lowest price range I've seen for music-quality WAV recording is the Zoom device, in the $200 range
street-price.

Subject: [ARSCLIST] Looking for Digital Recorder
Good morning.
I'm looking for a small digital recorder that will a good job of capturing the singing voice. Most
I've seen are more suited to recording speech. Any suggestions? BTW, price *is* an object.
Thanks, Randye
