Hi Karl,
Hope and pray that paper based tapes have been well stored and have never been wet or really damp. The ones I've worked with have been "yes or no" in results: either they played well (though care is needed if the paper has begun to get brittle) or most or all the oxide peeled right off, making them useless. If you have a choice of playback machines, use the one with the gentlest tape-handling capabilities.
Best, Richard

Subject: [ARSCLIST] Paper based tapes
I wondered if anyone has had experience with paper based tapes and if so, are
there any special problems associated with them.
Thanks.
