I've been looking at tachometers for determining record speeds, c. 8 to 110
rpm, to 2 or, if necessary, 1 place. I have a battery-operated one that
works ok, using a laser beam on a reflective spot on the turntable's edge.
I'd like to find one with a digital output that draws power from the
computer so can keep it running rather than have to manually start, read
and stop it. I'd also like it to send it's read-out to the computer so I
can include it in the metadata. I'd prefer it to feed a field within it by
itself rather having to manually type it in.
This should be a stand-alone product, not part of a multi-thousand dollar
audio ingestion system.
I've checked Amazon, eBay and the net itself with no luck or, at least,
anything that tells me that this is what it is in a vocabulary that I can
understand.
