Rainer, when I was at the Syracuse conference (not far from Rochester) I
took the bus to Toronto and flew back to Europe from Canada . A long ride,
but you pass the Niagara falls on the route! Not the most modern way to
travel, but you see more from the ground... and Toronto is of course also
worth a day or two (no offense to US friends). Of course you can also do
this the other way, Toronto first and then the road to NYC.
