Thanks Tom, that is a fine idea and we do have a huge stack of old pallets
out the back. However, the crate lids don't shut with the 16 inch discs in
them and we need them to close as we have a lot of dust and silt floating
around in the air outside. We are close to the central city which is
currently being mostly demolished due to the quakes. The design for the
plywood crates incorporates a lid and they can also be lifted with our
custom made lifting device, as they will be heavy. We have about 11,000
discs that need to be crated!
We won't be tossing the plastic crates, we can use them or save them for
the future.
