I may have been hallucinating, but I'm pretty sure
I read somewhere (MS tutorials??) that one can
separate your XML document from the stylesheet instructions,
along the lines of (and I'm sure this syntax is wrong)
<?xml version="1.0" src="findaid.xml" standalone="no"?>
<?xml:stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="teststyle.xsl"?>
None of my attempted guesses at syntax for this have
parsed correctly in IE5 and I've had no luck in tracking down the
reference. Is it possible to do this, i.e.
keep the
<!DOCTYPE ...>
<ead> ... </ead>
in a separate file (findaid.xml in the above e.g.)
in order to use it with different style sheets? (Or, to step back, is
there a better way of handling multiple style sheets?)
Thanks.
