As Tomas said, you need to then use at least one <indexentry> after your
<chronlist> element:
For instance:
<indexentry>
<namegrp>
<note>
<p>......</p>
</note>
</namegrp>
</indexentry>
I'm not sure why the DTD is setup this way. Maybe one of the people who
worked to setup the DTD version 2002 can explain.
