The Indiana University Digital Library Program, Office of University
Archives and Records Management, and Lilly Library are proud to announce
the launch of a newly redesigned site for Indiana University Finding
Aids. The new site presents more than 250 EAD-encoded finding aids from
the Office of University Archives and Records Management and the Lilly
Library, highlighting the depth and diversity of Indiana University's
collections.
In addition to University records, finding aids from the University
Archives includes descriptions of papers they hold from distinguished
alumni and professors, such as Sarah Parke Morrison, IU's first co-ed
<http://purl.dlib.indiana.edu/iudl/findingaids/archives/InU-Ar-VAA2618>,
Edward Grant, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of History and History of
Philosophy of Science
<http://purl.dlib.indiana.edu/iudl/findingaids/archives/InU-Ar-VAA2734>,
and Roger G. Newton, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Physics
<http://purl.dlib.indiana.edu/iudl/findingaids/archives/InU-Ar-VAA4635>.
Notable finding aids from the Lilly Library include the Kurt Vonnegut
mss.
and the Jane Johnson Manuscript Nursery Library, complete with links to
digitized items
<http://purl.dlib.indiana.edu/iudl/findingaids/lilly/InU-Li-VAA1275>.
This newly-redesigned site introduces more user-friendly display of
finding aids and allows easier linking to online representations of
items in our collections.
The site is driven by the XTF
<http://www.cdlib.org/inside/projects/xtf/> software from the California
Digital Library. Indiana University Finding Aids may be accessed at
