Can anyone help me get the actuate="user" and show="new" attributes in
the <dao> set of tags to work? I've used the example on p. 230 of the
Applications Guidelines as my model.
<daogrp>
<daoloc entityref="f0042_1tmb" actuate ="auto" show="embed"
role="thumbnail"></daoloc>
<daoloc entityref="f0042_1" actuate ="user" show="new"
role="reference"></daoloc>
</daogrp>
The text introducing the example says that the encoding "would most
likely result in the thumbnail image being automatically embedded in the
text of the finding aid ... while the larger reference image would
appear in a new browser window when the user activiated the link
traversal."
I want that result, but get the images displayed in the text no matter
how I set the attributes. The "most likely" in Guidelines makes me
wonder if I'm doing something wrong (like do I have to adjust something
somewhere else) or if these attributes just don't work well. I should
add that I'm trying to do this with Panorama (stop laughing), which may
be where the problem lies.
Any help would be much appreciated.
