This full-day workshop will emphasize
practical ideas for managing interlibrary loan
operations. Participants should be prepared to
discuss problems in their ILL operations and
to "brainstorm" possible solutions. Topics
will include
Analyzing workflow
Redesigning workflow
Performance standards
Common sense solutions to basic problems
Prerequisites:
Interlibrary Loan Basics workshop and/or
equivalent experience.
Session Notes:
Please bring a calculator to the workshop.
Instructor:
Linda L. Thornton, Auburn University Libraries
Ms. Thornton is chair of access services
(including interlibrary loan and document
delivery services) at Auburn University. She
worked in circulation, acquisitions and
interlibrary loan at Pennsylvania State
University before joining the Auburn faculty
in 1989. Her research interests are in ILL
management.
