The Idaho State Library has asked that we announce this
vacancy to the network:
__Talking Book Library Services Librarian__
The Idaho State Library invites applications from librarians
interested in managing a library program and providing
library service to persons with special needs. The Talking
Book Library is a Regional Library of the National Library
Service (NLS) for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, and
provides persons throughout the state with recorded and
large print books and magazines. This position plans,
coordinates, and evaluates the service; supervises ten full-
time employees; assures compliance with NLS regulations; and
publicizes the service. In addition, there are
opportunities to collaborate with librarians and other
providers of services to persons with special needs.
Position requires an MLS, public speaking experience, and
experience providing library services to the public,
managing a library program, and supervising. Starting
