Dear PCCLIST folks, particularly NACO contributors:

Although we had hoped to implement several new characters in the MARC-8 repertoire in early June, there has been a slight delay here at LC with testing several of the characters as part of the NACO contribution/distribution.  We hope to have these issues resolved soon, and then a test with each of the NACO nodes can be run.  

We will make another announcement when it is "safe" to use these characters in NACO records.  That announcement will also provide links to revised Library of Congress Rule Interpretations 1.0E and 1.4F5 that will be posted on the CPSO Web site.
