Note that "quite awhile" is roughly 8 months. At the June 2007  
meeting, we made minor revisions to the bibliographic document. See  
the minutes at

The 2006 date on the bib document needs to be changed, but I think the  
rest of the document is up to date. Although the standardization  
process may change the content somewhat, this will take time, and will  
probably leave the core bibliographic features in place, so it is  
certainly a reasonable place to start. The main thing lacking at this  
point is a sample implementation of bibliographic search to verify its  
feasibility. Unfortunately, I was one of the few people planning to  
implement bibliographic searching, and I have since moved on to a  
different set of problems,
