OK, that's a strong argument. And with Larry's as well, I guess I am
ready to back down on the idea of striking the fatal blow to SRW.
Still and all, I'd like to see the documentation radically overhauled
so that there is one core document, analogous to
http://www.openarchives.org/OAI/openarchivesprotocol.html
, that tells you all you need to know to implement SRU; and then a
bunch of explicitly ancillary documents on SRW as a variant of it.
