We have just embarked on the implementation of EAD using XMetal.
When trying to create a template for use with the ead.dtd, I get the
message:
Error in Document Type Declaration in document. Character is of the
wrong type. "" (34) is not a minimum data character.
I think this relates to the UK English keyboard that I am using which
has double quotes (required in the Document Type Declaration) in a
different position and probably with a different ASCII code than on a US
English keyboard for which the dtd was written.
Have had no reply yet from the XMetaL help desk - has anyone encountered
this problem before and solved it???
Thanks,
Barbara
