Agreed heartily!
I would however like to draw your attention to formatting problems
with the document as currently issued. These problems relate to
(a) highlighting of text and (b) paragraph numbering.
(a) highlighting of text
When text has been highlighted, [email protected] is often used (presumably the
result of transfer from WordPerfect to Word format). Please could you
reissue the document with these removed, as it makes for confusing
reading, particularly when 2-letter codes or 3-letter codes are
highlighted.
(b) paragraph numbering.
Is it possible to send a version of this with the clauses and
subclauses listed (for instance)
as 1, 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.2, 1.2.1, etc., rather than as embedded
numbered headings? It is difficult to refer to the document as it
stands, as even on the first page I could see two apparent sections
1.2.
The first apparent 1.2 relates to 3.3 Role of observers (and I'm not
sure where the 3.3 comes in) and the second 1.2 relates to Procedures
for conducting business by electronic mail.
Please could these be renumbered as
1.1.2 3.3 Role of observers
and
1.2 Procedures for conducting business by electronic mail
to avoid confusion?

In passing, and I hope I avoid stating the obvious,
N2 Rules of procedure for conducting business (Draft) 2000-01-13
N3 Working principles for ISO 639 maintenance (Draft) 2000-01-13
if reedited should be issued as N2R and N3R.
Best regards
