That might suggest that it may be useful, when updating the standard
to make the following changes to the name of the language (no change
is suggested for the code itself):

In ISO 639-2:

FROM    Geez       TO   Ge'ez (Old Ethiopic)

In the MARC lists:

FROM    Ethiopic   TO   Ge'ez (Old Ethiopic)

Note that Ge'ez (as Michael Everson indicates above) is preferable to
Geez, and is generally so described in most publications. So changing
Geez to Ge'ez would be prefered.
