We are using the encodinganalog attribute in some finding aids we are
starting to create, mapping to MARC fields, and I would like us to be
able to export data to a MARC record that our cataloger can open and
further refine. I was planning to create a script that would convert
the finding aid to a text format that MARCMakr could read in, but
when I went to
http://lcweb.loc.gov/marc/marcutil.html
to get the specifics on how to do it, I found that all the
MARCMakr/Breakr files are gone! Is another approach recommended,
for doing what I want to do? My preference is for solutions that are
text/Perl based, but any recommendations would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you,
