Hi There - Upon examining eadchars.ent, I find that line 187
is the first actual line of SGML/XML (i.e. non-comments) in the file.
So I think that the error is more general than it seems -
i.e. your software may not be able to parse the file or
to understand the modular construction of the EAD.DTD.
This happened with some software I used in the past.
I had to reconstruct a single file DTD.
Sorry that I don't have any specific advice beyond this.
Anyone else?
