If you haven't yet taken advantage of the Library of Congress
Bicentennial to celebrate your own federal library, it's not too late!
The Library of Congress has events scheduled throughout calendar year
2000 to get maximum exposure from their 200th birthday.
To help you celebrate, the toolkit developed by FLICC's LC
Bicetennial Working Group is still available on the FLICC website at:
http://lcweb.loc.gov/flicc/bicen/bicen.html#Initiatives
And there are still extra bookmarks available if you don't want to
print your own. Extra copies of the poster are for sale from GPO.
And if you haven't looked at the chronology of federal libraries, do
so--your library may be there! (If it's not, just download the file
and add your library to it.)
If your library has hung your copy of the federal libraries'
Bicentennial poster and/or sponsored a local celebration, share your
activity with the listserv. FLICC's LC Bicentennial Working Group
would like to know how you've benefitted from their efforts!
