Does anyone on this list remember a poem that appeared in the middle of a
sci-fi book from the 50's that goes like this?:
"Oh testing man,
Oh testing man,
How did the last run go"
Thus queried the harried engineer.
"Speak man for I must know."
The testing man, he scratched his head
and settled in a chair.
"Well, I don't know, oh engineer
but I think 'twas pretty fair."
A patron came a while back wanting to know if I had ever read the book that
this poem was quoted in. I haven't been able to find anything on the book or
the poem. The man said that it made enough of an impression on him that he has
remembered it all of these years.
Does this ring a bell for anyone out there? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
