This is probably not what you want, but there is a way to put in a floating
frame that some browsers support.

Internet Explorer will display the text from test.txt. Netscape will only
see the link, which you can click to see test.htm
But you need to know how much space the external file will take up, or
else allow scrolling in the frame. And you need to wrap the whole thing
in a table if you want to continue with more HTML after the iframe. (It's
generally used for sidebars with the rest of the text flowing around it.)
