FEDLINK Fall Membership Meeting
Join your FEDLINK colleagues at the FEDLINK Fall Membership Meeting.
In conjunction with the Library of Congress Bicentennial we will
celebrate the accomplishments of our federal libraries. John Cole,
Director of the Center for the Book and Co-Chair of the LC
Bicentennial, will present a brief history of the Library of Congress
and federal libraries. Barbara Christine, Chief of the Library Branch,
US Army Community & Family Support Center, will show a slide
presentation on setting up general libraries for deployed troops. The
final presentation will feature Janice Beatty, Director of Central
and Regional Libraries, National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA), who will highlight some of the library's
award winning initiatives. NOAA was the 1999 FLICC Library of the
Year. Come celebrate!
In addition, Ruby Thomas, FEDLINK Member Services Manager, will
introduce the new FEDLINK online registration process. The Personnel
Working Group, Education Working Group, and Information Technology
