I find it strange that Gerhard Budin has not commented yet on any of the codes
discussed by the JAC via this list over the past number of weeks, as he is
usually very quick to make his opinions known, and I recall, from our talks in
London, that he was both eager and able to take on the JAC duties formerly
assigned to Aat Vervoorn (retired).
Are you sure you added Gerhard's name to the mailing list, Rebecca? In case you
forgot, here is the most recent address I have for him:
<[log in to unmask]>, and here, for the record, from my notes of the
London mtgs of TC 37, are the names of all who should now be on the JAC list.
The composition of the 639 JAC, as announced at the London 2000 TC 37 Plenary
and SC meetings, incorporating personnel changes made at those meetings), is as
Christian Galinski (AT) for 639-1 RA; Rebecca Guenther (US) for 639-2 RA (the
aforementioned holding rotating Chairs); Håvard Hjulstad (NO) for TC 37;
Margaret Steward (CA) replacing Helen Hutcheson (CA) for TC 37; Gerhard Budin
(AT), replacing Aat Vervoorn of the Netherlands for TC37; Jean-Arthur Creff
(FR) for TC46; Glenn Patton (US) for TC46; Sten Hedberg of Sweden for TC46;
John Clews (UK) and Marion Gunn (IE) as observers.
As far as I am concerned, it is good for us to have more people circulated than
are listed above, but certainly no fewer, so this msg is to make sure that we
do have a full count of those who should actually be included, plus their
active e-mail addresses.
