FYI--NEW TIME FOR BIBCO-At-Large Meeting
Due to circumstances beyond our control the BIBCO-At-Large meeting
for ALA Annual Conference, Sunday, January 14th, 2001 will be held at
2:00 pm-3:30 pm (instead of the usual time).
The exact location is as yet unknown but we do know that it will NOT
be held at the Library of Congress as all LC buildings will be closed on
Sunday the 14th and on Monday the 15th in observance of the Martin
Luther King holiday-- please check the PCC calendar for updates on the
In preparation for that meeting a survey will be sent out canvassing
BIBCO participants to determine the need for expanding the number of
members on the Operations Committee and/or the possibility of expanding
the 2-day OpCo meeting (held in the April or May at LC) to become a
3-day meeting instead.
Think about that over the Thanksgiving holiday and look for the survey,
you vote WILL count; however, we may need to recount at the
BIBCO-At-Large. In order for your vote to be counted you'll have to come
to that meeting or send a surrogate; otherwise your vote may or may not
be revoked. The folks from Florida will need to submit certified
ballots but the folks from Oregon may be allowed to phone in their vote
... just kidding.
