Dear BIBCO Participants,
The National Library of Canada (NLC) authority file is now availble
for searching via the web. This searching is being offered free of
charge; however, libraries must first register. To do go to the
following URL http://www.nlc-bnc.ca/amicus/access/aaweb-e.htm and then
click on "How to register to Access AMICUS" and follow the prompts.
This announcement will be sent to all NACO libraries next week as
using the NLC form of names is a requirement of the NACO Program.
However, at the recent PoCo meeting the NLC representative, Liz McKeen,
suggested that we start off with a small group as they did not want to
be inundated with requests for registrations.
The main URL for AMICUS is at:
http://www.nlc-bnc.ca/amicus/amicus-e.htm click on the "More
information" link to get to the page cited earlier. Let me know if
anyone experiences any problems, has questions, etc.
