FYI BIBCO and NACO Contacts:
Huguette Lussier-Tremblay, Manager, Client Information Center
(CIC) at the National Library of Canada has provided the following
information.
After registering on the AMICUS website for access to the
authority file a form will be sent out via snail mail to each
registrant. There should ideally be only one per institution
as the logons and passwords may be used by multiple users.
The form sent out to each registrant is a "non-negotiable"
contract which contains a price list for various services and
for registering. This price list is no longer in effect and
should be ignored but the contract must be signed and returned.
Upon receipt and processing of the signed agreement an e-mail
message will be sent to the registrant with the assigned logon
and password. Given the holiday season, etc. this process is
currently taking anywhere from 3-5 weeks.
Should there be any change in the current free
access for this service NLC will notify registered users
30-days in advance. Questions may be directed to the NLC at:
