The Committee on Descriptive Standards of the International Council on
Archives has announced its intention to review and update the standard for
archival authority data known as the International Standard Archival
Authority Record for Corporations, Persons, and Families-   ISAAR(CPR).

The attached document outlines the timeline for this review and provides an
address to which comments may be addressed.  Please note that the deadline
for comments is July 31, 2001.
