Another way to reduce Spam, and this kind of "attack" is to tighten up how
people subscribe by making them confirm their subscription. This makes it
much more difficult for automated devices to get on. You can then also
restrict posting to subscribers only. This is how my list, Book_Arts-L, is
set up and it works very well.
