Hello Everyone!!
By now, many of you have received the survey "Use of Encoded Archival
Description" sent out by the University of Tulsa Department of Special
Collections as part of the Amigos Library Services Fellowship. I want to
take a moment to thank all of you who have taken the time to complete this
survey and mail it back to us. We are very excited about the information
that we have collected so far!
However, I would like to take a moment and urge those who have not completed
the survey to take a few minutes and do so now. The information we are
collecting is the first step in developing an overall picture of EAD
implementation to aid us in the production of a best practices document for
the small academic library and the more information we can gather from all
types and sizes of institutions the better. Starting next week, we will
begin contacting individual institutions that still need to complete the
survey.
I would also like to ask that if there is anyone who did not receive this
survey and would like to add their information to our study, to please
contact me. In appreciation for helping with our survey, participating
institutions will be sent a copy of our findings at the conclusion of the
Fellowship period.
Once again, I would like to thank everyone for their cooperation in helping
us with our research!! If there are any questions concerning the survey or
the study in general, please let me know. Thanks again!!
