For those of you that want to get off the EAD list because you don't like
the thought of getting a message with a virus, DO NOT SEND MESSAGES TO THE
LIST indicating you want to get off it.  Everyone doesn't need to read
about your desire to unsubscribe.  Please send a message to the list
administration address below:

The message should contain one line of text that reads"

unsubscribe ead "[your name]"

You MUST send this message from the mail account from which you originally
subscribed.  If you no longer have that account, or if your email address
has changed making it impossible for you to unsubscribe yourself, write me
directly at the address below with your original email address.

We apologize for the recent virus that went out on the EAD list.  It came
from one of the hundreds of subscribers.  We are working to block
attachments.  Our list server does not have a way to filter viruses.  It
is a pity that in a world of horrific bodily viruses, people feel the need
to infect the Internet with electronic ones.  It saddens me more than I
can express.  I fear it could bring an end to electronic lists like this
one.
