I'm looking for persons who have had experience getting a large
library's collection of print materials under automated inventory
control.  Specifically, I mean getting a barcode label on each
physical volume and getting each physical volume correctly described
and uniquely represented via its barcode in an online system (you
know, like an ILS!).  I'm looking for a paid consultant-type who can
arrive on-site with deep, successful,  experience that would form the
basis for recommending to us exactly how we should get our 17-20
million volumes under control.
Do you know anyone out there in the wider world who has accomplished
similar miracles or who might know someone......
