Building a Digital Library: How Digitization Affects Traditional Library Activities and Services

In an increasingly digital environment, federal libraries and information centers have taken on additional functions and incorporated new infrastructure to support and promote the use of digital information. This IT Update will focus on how digitization is affecting federal information access and reference services. Presenters will examine several technical, managerial, and legal challenges associated with developing a framework to catalog, index, process, store, protect, and disseminate digital information.
