Quite so. DC and MARC have required unique identifiers. GDM, it appears,
does not? So we could just recommend that when the dmdSec portion of a
METS file is exported for OAI harvesting it contain the appropriate unique
id. Will that be enough to help people wanting to do this with METS docs?
