This question is for Martin, Adam and anyone else submitting proposals to
SACO
Both these methods sound reasonable from the suppliers point of view. We
use the method outlined in Martin's email when submitting proposals to SACO.
However, has anyone found out from SACO if there officers have any problems
with the format of the final proposal when using either method.
I ask because we have had some interesting discussions on proposal
formatting with SACO, which leaves me in some doubt as to whether the 'Word
document' option will ever be suitable for us. It may simply boil down to
something as trivial as paper sizing standards between our two countries.
However, would appreciate knowing if others have had positive or negative
feedback from SACO on any particular formatting practice employed when
submitting new or changed headings proposals.
The National Library of Australia has developed online forms which can be
viewed at
http://www.nla.gov.au/kinetica/sh_form.html (for new headings)
http://www.nla.gov.au/kinetica/shchg_form.html (for changed headings)
For various administrative and historical reasons the forms don't contain
all the data elements listed in the SACO forms. Some additional data is
supplied when NLA submits the proposal to SACO.
Feedback on these forms would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bemal
