I am not sure if this is what you mean, but we are currently using EAD for
our "Guide to the Manuscript, Pictorial and Oral History Collections
Relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in the National
Library of Australia". The XML master for this guide is just a single EAD
finding aid with three <C01> components - one for each of the
sub-collections. There are two more <C0..> levels since some of the
resources listed in the guide are collection-level records. We have found
it possible to store the foreword and introduction to the guide within EAD
as well as introductions to each of the sub-collections. We plan to use the
same master for print and web versions of the Guide. If this works, we see
this as a framework for publishing future guides.
