29th @7:30pm. Meet speculative fiction author Terry Bisson.
Bisson is the author of six novels, including PIRATES OF THE UNIVERSE,
the most-reviewed SF novel of 1996, and the recent THE PICKUP ARTIST.
His short fiction, which includes the much-honored "Bears Discover
Fire" and "macs," appears in Asimov's, Playboy, and Fantasy & Science
Fiction. His stories have been collected in two volumes of collected
works and performed as radio plays. In addition to his fiction, Bisson
is renowned for his non-fiction articles and reviews, and for his social
activism. Bisson will be reading from his recent work on Saturday,
September 29th, at 7:30.
Philadelphia Fantastic presents a series of readings and informal
discussions by and with local writers and editors of speculative
fiction on the fourth weekend of the month. Our location is BORDERS
BOOKS, 1727 Walnut Street, and the time is 7:30 pm.
