I'm not expert enough to comment on the details of the schema, but I can say
that I like it. It's a huge step above MARC21. The combination of a small
set of elements with attributes whose values come from an enumerated set is
very nice. I'd be interested in some commentary from LC on the types of
information that would not usable in MODS and a guess as to how frequently
that data occurred.
If Rebecca could get a crosswalk together like her MARC21-Dublin Core
crosswalk then I've got code that could be make those records. The code is
table driven and expects pretty much a cut-and-paste of the table from her
crosswalk.
